Mulled Marquette Recipe
Middleburgh Winery, LLC
Mulled Marquette is easy to make and it tastes like the holidays! Start with a bottle of Middleburgh Marquette in the crock pot. Add bagged spices: 2 cinnamon sticks, 2 Star anise; and 8-19 cloves. Slice an orange - squeeze the juice in the ends into the wine and add the orange slices to the wine. Add local honey to taste - I usually add about a quarter cup. Add a shot of KyMar Mapple Jack. Turn the crock pot on to warm - if you do not have this setting, you will set it on low, but watch that it does not boil. It is very important in the first few minutes, especially with a new spice bag, to taste your mulled wine frequently - every 3-5 minutes so you do not over spice the wine. You can't undo spicing! Serve warm in mugs.
